RIVERTOWN MULTI-USE TRAIL NETWORK

St. Johns County, Florida

As part of the 4,000 acre RiverTown mixed-use development, TSW master planned a network of community parks and open spaces consisting of conservation areas, regional parks, swim and tennis centers, and neighborhood pocket parks. All of these parks and open spaces are connected through a pedestrian-friendly multi-use trail and streetscape system that allows easy access for residents and visitors of all ages and abilities.

TSW designed and specified different types of crossings (wetland crossings, wooden bridges, boardwalks, false bridges, etc.) and surface materials, including a variety of hard surfaces (asphalt with metal edge, textured concrete, brick pavers, etc.) and soft surfaces (crushed stone, mulch, etc.).
